Southwestern Wisconsin area church records [microform], 1839-1988.

Microfilmed records from more than 50 churches in southwestern Wisconsin and nearby areas, representing the Methodist, Lutheran, Episcopal, United Church of Christ, Congregational, Presbyterian, and Moravian denominations. The records included vary with each church but most often comprise registers of baptisms, marriages, and deaths, membership records, and minutes of church or trustee meetings. Sunday School records and records of men's and women's church clubs are sometimes included.

From a small beginning in May 1932, the Methodist Crusaders Choir, then with 75 choristers, was hurriedly formed and made its first public appearance at the General Conference Meetings of the Methodist Church of Australasia. The Moravians came to the United States in 1735 primarily to preach the gospel to the Indians. Although the Moravians had contacts with many Indian tribes, they did most of their work among the Delawares. They followed this tribe westward from Pennsylvania to Ohio, to Canada, to Indiana,and finally to Kansas.
